Generative Exploration
A self-built robot, a handful of sensors and some code: an experiment in letting the surroundings shape the design.

Overview
The idea
Computer-generated design will play a growing role in our profession, so understanding code matters. I built and tested the robot myself and wrote the software that drives it. Sensor input changes every result, so no two outcomes are alike.

Progress
The back-and-forth between hardware and software was the best part: every change in the code showed up in the physical result right away, which made experimenting fast and a lot of fun.
