Sound of UTS
The brief: capture the spirit of the UTS campus in a textile print. During my exchange in Sydney I joined the fashion design program and chose to listen rather than look: what does a campus sound like as fabric?

Overview
The idea
I recorded sounds around campus and turned their audio waves into dynamic, colorful patterns for the print. Taking them from screen to fabric taught me a lot about production: pattern making, fabric layout, color matching and designing within its limits.
I could learn a lot about the actual production, its restrictions, and the exciting possibilities of textile print.
